HOLIDAY FACADE, Fifth Avenue Flagship
Our challenge was to create an elegant holiday facade that would capture the spirit and whimsical beauty of the brand. It was important that the facade design be complementary to the collection featured in the holiday windows: The Birds of Paradise. The collection itself was inspired by the extraordinary plumage of the Birds of Paradise.
French gardens were OUR muse. The pristine beauty of a French garden with perfectly manicured topiaries and fantastical wonder would be the perfect complement to the Birds of Paradise collection.
The Van Cleef & Arpels topiaries were carefully crafted using the jewelry collection for specific design direction. Once the lines were drawn and the curves were set, the topiaries were meticulously created.
LUXURY WATCH SHOWCASE DESIGN, Timecrafters at TheTimesCenter NYC
Our CHALLENGE was to create a Dynamic Brand Space to exhibit Van Cleef & Arpels Poetry of Time timepiece collection at the luxury watch show; Timecrafters. The timepiece collection was inspired by Jules Verne’s Voyages Extraordinaires.
The CONCEPT was to create a museum worthy showcase to display the collection. We carefully integrated the Poetry of Time graphic elements while taking great care not to visually overwhelm the space.
A scale model was built prior to fabrication. The design featured a stepping perimeter with vignettes to showcase each timepiece.
The finished space exuded luxury, elegance, expertise and craftsmanship.
MERCHANDISING SYSTEM DESIGN, Madison Avenue Boutique
The GOAL was to design a sleek merchandising system for the Georg Jensen Madison Avenue Boutique. The desired aesthetic was streamlined elegant modern. The intention of the design system was to highlight the beauty of each item in the boutique. To initiate the project, we collaborated with the store manager and sales associates to fully understand their vision and needs. Full scale working prototypes of all forms were created and tested in-store to ensure design and functionality success. Project scope included the design and fabrication management of round pedestals that act as the boutique's central focal point, plexi glass display forms to showcase a broad collection of jewelry and accessory items, under stock trays, blocks and risers for the home decor collection as well as the design and fabrication of a custom cutlery display form.
HOLIDAY PARTY DESIGN, Rockefeller Center 620 Loft & Garden
Our design for the Syfy Channel holiday party created an aura of mystery and suspense. The party promoted two programs; The Expanse and Childhood’s End. Project scope included space and floral design as well as the design and fabrication of two free standing corner video walls, sourcing, coordination and management of furniture rentals, space set-up and breakdown.
EXPERIENTIAL PRODUCT LAUNCH DISPLAY TTPM 2019 SPRING SHOWCASE
We were given the exciting challenge to create Mattel’s 2019 TTPM® Spring Showcase booth with Toy Story 4 as the star. The intended aesthetic was to capture the feeling of being at a carnival.
The use of lights, color and movement was essential in creating a carnival feeling at a crowded and busy trade show. Designing motorized displays for the beloved Toy Story action figures and a marquee with lights generated a sense of excitement and energy.
We designed star space for Mattel’s other hot properties to shine with curated displays of Barbie, the incredibly popular and just launched BTS action dolls and Hot Wheels.
CENTERPIECE DESIGN, Paramount Screening Room, Viacom Building
Nickelodeon asked us to create centerpieces for a screening of the Peter Rabbit DVD. Our challenge was to capture the fun and wonder of Peter Rabbit’s world in a small, singular object.
We were inspired by Peter Rabbit’s love for carrots and radishes and his ongoing curiosity and desire to explore his habitat.
Our concept was to provide a peek into Peter Rabbit’s world from his underground perspective and celebrate his curious nature.
EXPERIENTIAL PRODUCT LAUNCH DISPLAY: TTPM 2018 Spring Showcase
The CHALLENGE was to create a show-stopping booth for the TTPM 2018 spring showcase. Our GOAL was to bring the excitement and energy of Jurassic World to life in a manner that would demand attention and create a true sense of place.
For inspiration, we visited zoos and museums, studied scale and even played with toys. We explored the feeling of being dwarfed by something enormous and were fascinated by the beauty of skeletal systems. We contemplated dinosaur skin. What should it look like? Should it be represented realistically or abstractly? How do you bring “pre-historic fauna” to life inside? The results? TREMENDOUS!!!
EXPERIENTIAL PRODUCT LAUNCH DISPLAY: TTPM 2018 Holiday Showcase: Lil’ Gleemerz
Our GOAL was to create an immersive experience for the launch of Lil’ Gleemerz at the TTPM 2018 Holiday Showcase. Lil Gleemerz are delightful interactive toys with rainbow light fur tails, glowing eyes and sweet voices. An Infinity Cube was designed using mirrors, a backlit branded lightbox, custom black hexagonal shelves for merchandising, glossy black flooring and row upon row (or so it seemed) of LED lights to create a glowing illusion of infinite space.
EVENT DESIGN, Brooklyn New York
An event should feel personal and distinctive and should reflect the spirit of the occasion and person being celebrated. As a tribute to the guest of honor of this event we designed graphic icons to represent her passions.
The vibrant color palette with hints of metallic and gold sparkle enlivened the room. The abundant and enormous paper topiaries instilled a sense of joy and created “floating” focal points throughout this extremely large venue. Ceramic tokens created by a local artist and a message desk where guests could leave heartfelt and creative notes put an extra personal spin on the day.
CENTERPIECE DESIGN, Consumer Products Summit, NYC
The CHALLENGE was to design centerpieces to be used at the annual all day Consumer Products Summit. We developed a highly efficient, modular system in which each centerpiece was cleverly designed for easy modification. Centerpieces were "refreshed" for 3 day parts; breakfast, lunch and evening cocktails.
KIDS SPACE DESIGN, BookCon at Jacob Javits
The GOAL was to create an interactive play space at BookCon. The space featured dynamic play stations designed to engage children with hi-tech and hands-on activities. A separate storytelling room was designed as an oasis to listen and relax.
